The Dallas Cowboys continue to shed salary by cutting nose tackle Dontari Poe and cornerback Daryl Worley. This comes one day after defensive end Everson Griffen was sent to Detroit for only a conditional sixth round pick.
The NFL’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
The #Cowboys are cutting DT Dontari Poe and CB Daryl Worley, source said, after trying to trade both. That’s three veterans jettisoned in two days.

These cuts mean the Cowboys have gotten rid of three defensive veterans in two days, as Rapoport says above. Dallas is currently 2-5 and tied for second place in the NFC East with the Washington Football Team. Both teams are behind the Eagles at 2-4-1.
The Cowboys seem to be slowly unraveling after a disappointing season, even before Dak Prescott went down with a season ending injury. Backup Andy Dalton was also injured, after which much was made about the lack of retaliation by his Cowboy teammates.
Expect to see more players be on the trade block in the coming days, including offensive weapons like Michael Gallup and maybe even Amari Cooper.
