Byung-sun “Fleta” Kim has won the Overwatch League 2020 MVP contest. During today´s Loser´s Final Match between the Washington Justice and the Philadelphia Fusion, a pre-recorded video, the winner of the prestigious award was announced. Among others, he beat out another DPS legend Jae-hyok “Carpe” Lee.
Fleta is the Meta
Over the last three years, Fleta has impressed on every hero Overwatch has to offer. During his first two years on Seoul Dynasty, he always impressed and often single-handedly carried his team to victory. This year, on the Shanghai Dragons, he is surrounded by a top-level team. They are entering the Overwatch League Grand Finals as one of the favorites for the championship.
In the MVP video, Fleta answered a few questions. Fleta said that he was very happy to be nominated for MVP. He further believed that the honor of MVP was one of the most presitgious in the league and one of the hardest to achieve. Fleta also stated that he did not worry too much about it and simply focused on playing well for his team. As the 2020 Overwatch League MVP, Fleta is awarded 100.000$ of prize money.
