The Tennessee Titans have used their franchise tag on running back Derrick Henry. If Henry agrees to let the tag be placed on him, he will be paid $10,278,000 in 2020. The Titans and Henry can also agree to a longer term deal.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on Monday morning.

Henry led the league in carries, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in 2019. Playing in 15 games, he rushed 303 times for 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also led the NFL in yards per game at a massive 102.7.
The Pro Bowler had to be franchise tagged after the Titans agreed on an extension with Ryan Tannehill. Not wanting to lose his production to free agency, the tag was the best possible way to not lose Henry, and to work on a long term solution.
