Several League of Legends champions are receiving reworks in season 10. These champions have kits that feel outdated in comparison to some of the other champions that have been released in recent years. The following are the upcoming champion reworks coming to League of Legends.
Volibear
Volibear’s rework has been anticipated for months, and Riot Games has finally released more information in their teaser for season 10. The visual update for Volibear looks incredible, and should please many of the players that enjoy playing the champion. There are currently no details about the changes to his kit.
Fiddlesticks
The rework for Fiddlesticks was announced alongside the rework for Volibear on the champion roadmap. The visual update makes Fiddlesticks look even more terrifying than his original design. There are a few details about Fiddlesticks kit that have been revealed. The champion roadmap states, “Fiddlesticks’ new kit will be centered around the concept of fear, but it’ll include much more than a point-click status effect (which is staying on the kit). Experienced Fiddlesticks players will wreak mental havoc on their victims as they question what is real and what is merely a terrifying effigy.” The term effigy insinuates that a clone mechanic may added to his kit, so it will be interesting to see what this entails.
Wukong
Wukong is receiving a rework in patch 10.2 that will bring massive changes to his kit.
His passive, Strength of Stone, will grant him a physical damage shield after exiting a stealth or brush. His Q, Wuju Strike, is similar to its original design, granting him bonus range, dealing bonus physical damage and reducing the target’s armor. Wukong’s W, Warrior Trickster, allows him to dash and become invisible, leaving behind a clone that will damage enemies. His E, Nimbus Strike, allows him to dash to an enemy, while also sending two clones to dash to two additional enemies. This effect deals magic damage and also grants Wukong bonus attack speed for four seconds. His ultimate, Cyclone, makes Wukong spin his staff around him, knocking enemies up and dealing physical damage. This ability also grants Wukong bonus movement speed. This rework will bring fresh aspects to his gameplay, while remaining true to the original design of the champion.
Sylas
Sylas is receiving a rework in patch 10.1 that will bring some major changes to his playstyle.
His passive, Petricite Burst, will now grant bonus attack speed, execute secondary target minions and will stack up to three times. Sylas’ Q, Chain Lash, will have the damage on the chain reduced, but the damage on the detonation is increasing. The slow is being removed, and the spell can no longer be cast during his E, Abduct. His W, Kingslayer, is having the damage and heal increased. The spell will no longer execute and the cooldown is decreasing at the later ranks. His E, Abscond/Abduct, is receiving a damage boost, but it will no longer grant a magic damage shield. The cooldown is decreasing, and it will no longer reset his basic attacks. Sylas’ ultimate, Hijack, is receiving a minor nerf, as he will longer be able to use it to reset his basic attacks.
