The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. The bowl season schedule allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2019 New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
Michigan State Spartans Draft Prospects
Kenny Willekes, Edge
Willekes has been a star for Michigan State over the past few years. The edge rusher has 219 total tackles, 47.5 tackles for loss and 22 sacks for the Spartans in his career. This year, Willekes has 14 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.
At 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds, Willekes should fit right in for an NFL defensive end. He is projected to be selected on day two or three of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Second round-fourth round
Raequan Williams, DT
Williams has also been a part of a good defensive line for the Spartans over the last few seasons. In his career, he has 150 total tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. This season, Williams has 41 total tackles, seven tackles for loss and five sacks.
He stands 6-foot-4 and 303 pounds, which is good size for an interior defensive lineman. Williams should be in a similar draft range to Willekes.
Projected Draft Range: Second round-fourth round
Other notable draft-eligible players:Â QB Brian Lewerke, WR Darrell Stewart, WR Cody White, TE Matt Dotson, OT Cole Chewins, OT Luke Campbell, OG/C Tyler Higby, OG/C Kevin Jarvis, OG/C Matt Allen, DT Mike Panasink, DT Naquan Jones, LB Joe Bachie (out for PEDs), LB Antjuan Simons, CB Josh Butler, CB Josiah Scott, S David Dowell
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Draft Prospects
Jamie Newman, QB

He has great size for a quarterback at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds. With some of the other quarterbacks from this class not playing well, Newman has taken advantage and could be picked in the middle rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.
