The Titans are now 3-19 in their last 22 games against the Colts. Even with the promising start against Cleveland, the Titans were not able to defeat the Colts. The game was largely controlled by the Colts. The Titans held a brief 15-minute lead late in the game that ultimately would not last.
Jordan Wilkins would rip off a late 55-yard run that would lead to the game-winning touchdown for the Colts. Outside of that large run, the running game was held in check by the Titans defense.
Jacoby Brissett struggled throughout the day as well. He went 17/28 for 146 yards and an interception but did manage to find the endzone three times which proved the difference. Horrendous kicking by veteran Adam Vinatieri nearly lost the game for the Colts as he went 1/3 on PATs.
The Tennessee Titans offense struggled much to the frustration of Titans fans. After a huge week 1 the fan base had hoped the offensive woes may be turning the corner. The lone bright spot, if you can call it that, was Derrick Henry’s 81 yards and a touchdown, however, he did fumble once.
Marcus Mariota struggled again going 19/28 for 154 yads and a touchdown. He also fumbled once on 32 yards on the ground. Delanie Walker led in receptions with 4 and 39 yards.
The Titans look to rebound as they’ll take on a struggling Jaguars team on Thursday night.
