11. Cameron Krutwig-Loyola-Chicago
Krutwig has the ability to put the ball down and drive to get good looks. Next, he has a really good touch around the basket and makes it look easy. Further, he is very smooth with the ball and is great in pick and roll situations as well as handoffs. Also, his mid-range jumper is very solid as well. He’s solid in ball screen action defensively, but he can struggle to guard out towards the three-point line. In addition, he is very solid around the basket as he gets in a really good position to contest shots.
12. Mike Watkins-Penn State
Watkins operates around the basket well and he runs the floor very well getting easy looks to score. Further, he cuts to the basket very well getting in a good position to score. Also, he has the ability to score through contact very well. He plays with very good poise and decision making in the post and gets great opportunities. His footwork is very smooth in the post. Next, his defense is solid as he brings physicality and contests everything at the rim.
13. Jon Teske-Michigan
Teske does a good job of keeping himself active at all times on offense. He has the ability to step away and hit perimeter jumpers. He does a very good job of releasing from screens to create space and get open. The ability to dive to the basket and finish on the move is good. He’s okay in ball screen defense as his feet don’t move the best, but gives solid effort to recover. Teske does a solid job around the basket with his interior defense. He’s very limited in guarding bigs who or switches away from the basket. He will look to continue to improve for his senior season.
14. Daniel Oturu-Minnesota
Oturu is a very good second chance rebounder who is also a solid finisher around the basket. He can extend to mid-range and the three-point line occasionally, but must improve his shot. He’s active on offense and can use pick and roll with slips effectively. He has good athleticism, but can get beat physically in the post when given up positioning. Also, his foot speed is pretty good which allows him to help and recover. He must also continue to build his body to become a more effective interior defender.
15. Charles Bassey-Western Kentucky
Bassey brings really good physicality and positioning in the post to give him great opportunities to score. He’s got a good jump hook and has a tendency to draw a lot of contact to get to the free-throw line. Also, he must continue to work on his ability to face up with mid-range jumpers and attacking. He brings good physicality with his interior defense and is a good rim protector. His positioning could improve to give up less direct post-up situations. Also, he needs to move his feet at a higher level in order to be a complete defender.
16. Nick Richards-Kentucky
Richards has a good feel around the basket and brings good energy. His touch around the rim is good and he gets second chance opportunities. He dives to the basket well off of handoffs and ball screen action. Also, the ability to catch lobs at the rim is really good, but he needs to be stronger with the ball in the post. Further, he brings solid positioning on defense and contests post-ups well with his length , but he could get stronger to be a complete post defender. Richards will look to potentially be more of a go-to threat for Kentucky next season.
17. Matt Haarms-Purdue
Haarms brings very good size and has the ability to finish over the top of other big men. He moves really well for a big his size and is a very good screener. Further, he has a jump hook that can be off-balanced at times, but with his size, is still effective. Also, his drop step is effective and allows him to get clean looks. He’s best in cross-screen action to get an immediate post up look. In addition, he must be stronger with the basketball. He is a liability guarding on the perimeter as his ability to move his feet is not good. Furthermore, his strength needs to build up to wear down post players and make it very difficult to score on post-ups.
18. Fillip Petrusev-Gonzaga
Petrusev has all the physical tools to potentially become the next great Gonzaga big. He has the ability to duck in well and has a good jump hook as well as a very solid mid-range jumper. Also, his athleticism is very good and there are moments when he is very hard to guard in transition and around the rim. In addition, he has good size but needs to improve his body as well as the recognition of his post defense. Petrusev needs more consistency to be one of the best bigs in the country.
19. Omer Yurtseven-Georgetown
Yurtseven is a very well rounded offensive big who is highly skilled. He brings really good size and moves well on offense. His touch around the basket is solid, however, he must be stronger to fight for better positioning and finishing. Also, he can stretch the defense with his ability to hit perimeter jumpers. He can get out physically matched in the post and he can get faced up and attack with his lack of foot speed.
20. Austin Wiley-Auburn
Wiley has the ability to get deep post position with great strength. Also, he brings really good physicality and the ability to hit jump hooks and drop steps well. He’s a bruiser in the post and rebounds at a good rate and has the ability to make tough shots. Furthermore, he is a good post defender with really good strength and solid positioning. He lacks great foot speed to guard in ball screen action situations.
