Maurizio Sarri has officially announced his leave from Chelsea FC.
He made the decision to leave to fill in Massimiliano Allegri’s position at Juventus. This decision has been in rumors for months now after it came out that Chelsea did not want to keep Sarri for the next season. Sarri is happy to be moving back to Italy. Juventus will be announcing him as their new manager as of Thursday, June 18.
This, however, leaves Chelsea to find a new manager. Although there have been many rumors of who should be chosen to be the next manager, it looks as if Chelsea has already made its decision.
The popular candidate, Frank Lampard, looks to be the new manager for Chelsea. He is an ex-Chelsea winger and has had a good season coaching Derby Country.
However, there are some problems.
Lampard has made a reputation for himself for bringing in younger players to build them up into a good team. There are concerns that Chelsea fans would not want to wait for him to build a good team.
The other concern is Chelsea’s transfer ban. They aren’t allowed to have transfers for two years, meaning Lampard will have to work with the current team.
He and the team will also have to adjust with Eden Hazard moving to Real Madrid.
Chelsea will have an interesting next couple of years with the many changes underway.
