It is official, League of Legends Wild Rift open beta will be coming to the Americas on Match 29. This comes after a quick video just the day before that said the announcement would be coming today. The Open Beta has been in different parts of the world for the past few months. Now it will come to the Americas right at the end of the month.

The video shows the countries that the mobile version of League of Legends will be coming to. This is a major step for the game as the Americas are one of the last major reasons to be getting a beta. The best part about this one is that it is an open beta, meaning the game is likely close to being fully released.
When looking at how Riot Games have handled releases such as TFT or VALORANT one can see a trend. They test out their games in the Americas when they are closest to releasing. This should mean that maybe a month or two in the Americas open beta will allow for the Wild Rift to fix any major bugs. Also it will allow for them to test the new systems they put in place to help with latency and connection.
Overall this is a much-anticipated game. After copycat games like Mobile Legends have been on mobile for so long, League of Legends will finally be put on the market as well.
It will be interesting to see how Riot Games handles the esport that inevitably will be created with this game. In many regions where mobile is the preferred method of playing video games, this opens up a whole new avenue for League of Legends as a whole.
