The Philadelphia 76ers are staying busy at the trade deadline. Reported by Shams Charania, Houston Rockets forward James Ennis is headed to Philly. The Rockets will receive a 2021 second round draft pick in return.
The move adds another bench player for Philadelphia in light of trading assets for Tobias Harris. This season with the Rockets, Ennis averaged 7.3 points per game on 49 percent shooting, along with 2.9 rebounds per game.
Philly has made multiple moves before Thursday’s 3 p.m. EST trade deadline. In the past two days, they have acquired Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, Mike Scott, Malachi Richardson and now Ennis.
The Rockets will make up for Ennis’ absence with assets from a three-team trade with Cleveland and Sacramento. Houston has bolstered their bench with Iman Shumpert.
