Tottenham came back to win in their game against Juventus on Sunday, July 23.
It was a slow start to the game because many opportunities to score were shut down early.
Cristiano Ronaldo got a shot close to goal at the end of the 26th minute. He settled the ball down at the top of the box. He missed the near post shot by inches.
Finally, Tottenham opened up the scoring at the end of the 29th minute. Everyone was crashing into the goal.
The keeper deflected the shot made by Troy Parrott. However, Erik Lamela slid the rebound into the goal, making it 1-0.
The second half started with excitement since there were many attempts on goal. However, each attempt was shut down easily.
Juventus made their mark in the game because Gonzalo Higuaín scored in the 55th minute. He got the ball top of the box. Higuaín dribbled to the right and shot it near post to tie up the game.
Then, Ronaldo got the advantage on Tottenham in the 59th minute. Mattia De Sciglio got the ball down into the bottom left of the box. He drop-passed it to Ronaldo, who redirected the ball far post into the goal.
Tottenham didn’t fall far behind- scoring five minutes later to tie up the game. Tanguy NDombele got the ball close to the 18 and passed the ball in between players to find Lucas Moura’s feet. Lucas slid and popped the ball into the top left corner of the goal.
Harry Kane got the ball a little past the halfway line in the 93rd minute. In the attempt to put Tottenham on top, he took a long shot. The ball lobbed over the field and eventually over the keeper. It bounced on the goal line and went into the goal to give Tottenham the 3-2 win over Juventus.
