Week three of the National PUBG League has come to a close as all of the contestants look forward to the NPL Royale. The NPL teams were looking to show that they are going to be a top contender for the Royale, so the fighting has been intense. What teams came out on top and toppled the competition this week?
Day One
Day one of week three started off with a Chicken Dinner for Envy who looked to impress coming off their win in the final match of week two. They pulled out a 6-kill win over Viscous Gaming in a tight firefight with the blue wall closing in. Viscous was looking to get their first win in the league.
Next up, SpaceStation Gaming took a win over Shoot To Kill. Match two was a very close one, but SpaceStation put up 10 kills and showed that they really know how to work as a team in a shootout at the end. SpaceStation are gaining more points and looking to climb the table.
The third match went to Smokin’ Aces, who finally claimed their first Chicken Dinner over Wildcard Gaming. They pulled out six kills and held off Wildcard as the zone closed in. Smokin’ Aces were looking to claim some much needed points as they are sitting in tenth place overall.
Tempo Storm asserted their dominance once again in match four as they took down multiple teams including Cloud9 and Lazarus. They continue to hold off the competition and solidify their place at the top of the table.
At the end of the day Tempo Storm still sit on top. Leaders from week one, Why Tempt Fate, have yet to come back and impress as other teams are showing that they are here to play. Teams will be grasping for points in day two in hopes of taking down Tempo Storm.
Day Two
The second day of week three in the National PUBG League kicked off with another win for Endemic who used numbers to their advantage while taking down Why Tempt Fate. The second match of the day went to Envy, who took down Smokin’ Aces in a four-versus-two shootout. Envy continue to add to their total Chicken Dinners in week three.
Match three went to SpaceStation Gaming who took another 6-kill Chicken Dinner over Noble, who were looking to claim their first win. The final match of the day went, yet again, to Tempo Storm. They set a new kill record with a 17-kill game over Lazarus who were looking to finally claim a win.
Week Three Standouts
The standouts from week three were Tempo Storm and Lazarus. Tempo Storm sit comfortably at the top of the table with a 50-point gap between them and second place. They have been dominant heading into the Royale. Lazarus may not have claimed a win, but their performance show that they could be close to shaking up the NPL.
National PUBG League Royale
With week three finished, we will be taking a break from the normal competition to focus on the NPL Royale. Both the National PUBG League and the Contenders will be competing in an all-out battle for an 80k prize pool. Will a Contenders team topple an NPL powerhouse to win the Royale?
