The National PUBG League is heading into its final week of competition and teams are starting to pull ahead. The Contenders have a different story unfolding as teams still remain so close after another tough week of competition. All of these teams have something to prove as they are fighting it out and hoping to make the jump up into the NPL. With Phase 3 now over halfway finished, what teams are making their final stands count?
Match One
Week three opened up with a big win for Obey Alliance. They put up a huge 12 kills as they earned a much-needed Chicken Dinner. Smokin’ Aces Red was close to catching them, but they ended in third after not being able to hold off Halocline’s remaining players. Halocline attempted to take out Obey, but their numbers were higher and they used the positioning of the blue zone and mountains to their advantage.
Match Two
The next match was taken by Super Nova. Super Nova and San Diego Rarity were down to a very intense shootout where it could have gone either way. SDR put up a great fight, but Super Nova finally finished off their last player and took the nine-kill win.
Match Three
Their win was followed by Oxymoron, who swiped a seven-kill chicken dinner on Sanhok. They took down The Happy Campers, using the high ground to their advantage. The Happy Campers tried their hardest to pull through and secure the win, so that they could jump higher up the table, but Oxymoron was too composed to be shaken.
Match Four
Halocline finally got their win for the day with an 11-kill Chicken Dinner on the final Sanhok match. Grenades helped them eliminate a lot of the competition, but their teamwork and accuracy earned them the win in the end. Halocline continue to string together impressive performances as they push to finish on top.
Match Five
The next match then saw 303 get their first win of the day overtaking Super Nova’s single player. They put up a huge 13 kills, becoming the highest kill win of the day. Super Nova’s final player took cover behind a tree on one of Miramar’s open fields, but he couldn’t find a way to fight off three approaching 303 players.
Match Six
The final match of the day finally saw a win for the Comets. They were up against Flipsid3 and Obey fighting it out near the shelter on Erangel. It came down to a four-on-one battle with the final member of Obey hiding underground in the shelter. Comets were not able to find him, but the blue zone finally claimed Obey’s final member. Comets were happy to claim a win with 10 kills.
The Standings
Halocline now sits on the top of the National PUBG League contenders with 138 points, followed by Smokin’ Aces Red in second with 126. The top two are followed by Obey with 124, Comets with 120, and Oxymoron with 120. The race to the finish is very tight this time around. The NPLC is anyone’s game at this point, as a huge performance could turn the tides fast in week four of Phase 3.
Tune in next week for more coverage of the National PUBG League.
