Catching legendaries in the post-game of Pokemon Legends Arceus stands as one of the most engaging activities for completionists. There’s something about domesticating and taming deities of their realm that provides a great sense of accomplishment. Whether it’s a time deity, magical fairies, or even the god of death, these Legendary pokemon are really something. To help players out, this guide will go over how to catch Heatran in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Heatran is a Legendary pokemon created around the time when Regigigas created the continenents. The magma pokemon enjoys hanging around volcanoes, and is also known as “The Lord of Stark Mountain.” Just as a heads up, this encounter and catch is necessary before attempting to find Regigigas.
To find Heatran, talk to Volo out in the Obsidian Fieldlands. A new mission will begin, titled The Plate of Firespit Island. Obviously, head to the Firespit Island to enter the Altar of the Cauldron. Here, the player will journey to discover Heatran behind a wall of fire. Simply throw some balls of mud at the fire to dissolve it, and begin the encounter.
Simply throw a pokemon at Heatran to start the fight. Per usual, just weaken the pokemon and attempt to catch it thereafter. Keep in mind, Heatran is a fire and steal type pokemon. Therefore, plan typing around that to make the job easier.

In Conclusion
Unlike the other mainline pokemon games, Pokemon Legends Arceus allows players to reattempt Legendary encounters if the player accidentally kills them. In other words, don’t worry too much about saving beforehand, and perfecting the catch on the first try. Returning to Jubilife City and then heading back to the area should respawn Heatran. There’s a ton more to do outside of attempting to catch the post-game Legendaries. Hopefully, players are enjoying their play throughs of Pokemon Legends Arceus as much as the Staff members here at The Game Haus.
