The long-awaited roster announcement for the Seoul Dynasty has finally dropped. For most of the off-season, the Tiger Nation has only had the knowledge that their MVP Junyoung ‘Profit’ Park would be returning to the stage in black and gold. This upcoming season looks promising with the talent that will be joining the squad in the sixth season of the Overwatch League.
New Players
Tank
One of the biggest surprises comes in the form of the Dynasty’s new main tank. At the end of Season 5 of the Overwatch League, the Shanghai Dragons gave a heartfelt goodbye to their longtime captain. It was said that Jinwoo ‘Void’ Kang would be going into the mandatory military service as he is a 1996. Not only has Void shown that he can hold his own as a solo tank for the team while his time on Shanghai Dragons, but that he has great leadership skills that can help with a team of many rookies.
DPS
For the DPS, the community already knew about Profit rejoining the Seoul Dynasty. To join will be the Overwatch League rookie of Prophet. Prophet comes from the contenders team of O2. He is a hitscan specialist that is reminiscent of Dongeon ‘FITS’ Kim. His Widow was legendary on maps like Circuit Royal while on his time on O2.
Support
To some the Younghoon ‘Krillin’ Jeong might seem like an odd pick up. But Krillin played with Profit during the London Spitfire era. He is also close with the head coach Jinmo ‘Tobi’ Yang. This will be his third team as he was also a part of the Washington Justice. He is most well known for his Ana and Zen. Sooman ‘LeeSooMan’ Lee is also a Gen.G Contenders player. He has been playing, while on Sin Prisa Gaming, the Kiriko and Brig. Between LeeSooMan and Krillin there is a lot of overlap in heroes. This does bring to the forefront the question of who will be the Lucio player. With the meta favoring a fast pace dive-esque a Lucio is essential.
Season 6 Roster
With the great season that the Seoul Dynasty had last season, this new team has a lot to live up to. No doubt with a veteran player like Profit at the helm, the new players are in good hands. There is still the mystery 6th player that the Dynasty has not announced yet, who will be joining the team for season 6. The Tiger Nation cannot wait until April 27th, 2023 for the regular season to start and see the team in action.
