The world could always use more heroes
During BlizzCon this Friday, not only games had the spotlight during the day. While the Overwatch World Cup was being played and the crowds were going crazy over the game’s 29th hero, Ashe & Bob, LEGO updated their website and showed the world the six new sets based on the game. Leaked accidentally by Target last month, what people were hoping for turned out to be true.
The sets include heroes like Soldier 76, Reaper, McCree, Tracer and more. They were announced to be released in January, so we’ll have to wait a while to get our hands on them. For now, you can get a Bastion LEGO figure from the Blizzard store which we talked about in an article here. But lets take a look at what the new ones include.
Tracer vs. Widowmaker
This set includes, yes, you guessed it, the Tracer and Widowmaker minifigues along with the payload from Watchpoint: Gibraltar. The cockpit of the satellite can be removed to have one of the DPS characters actually carry the payload for once. With 129 pieces, you can get this set for $14.99.
Hanzo vs. Genji
Featuring parts of Hanamura point B, which looks like the exits of the spawn rooms and the shrine of the sword. Genji and Hanzo clash in a blocky form. Even more, there’s an unlikely visitor as well, the Shimada cellphone Henchman from the “Dragons” short. You also get a small health pack, so it seems like Genji will be getting the healing he wants so badly. Composed of 197 pieces this set can be acquired for $19.99
Dorado Showdown
Three DPS characters are offered in this box, so it’s just like your regular competitive games. As the name suggests, we get the Dorado payload as well as what looks like the arch, fruit crate and Diablo piñata on point A. It also seems like the payload has space inside to sit one of the figures included, which are McCree, Soldier76 and Reaper. For $29.99 this 419 piece set can be obtained.
D.Va and Reinhardt
The two most iconic tank heroes in the game, German Crusader Reinhardt and Korean M.E.K.A. pilot D.Va are what this set has. The big Reinhardt armor features a giant Rocket Hammer and the option to place his mini-figure inside. Similarly, the famous pink exosuit also comes with a D.Va mini-figure and can shoot pellets from it’s Fusion Cannons. You can get the 455 piece set for $39.99.
Bastion
In a surprising show, Bastion, was shown in a new figure. This one however is different than the one in the Blizzard Gear Store. Standing at 10” (26cm) it can transform into turret mode and even has an eye that can light up! This Bastion is featured in his standard skin with a classic yellow Ganymede. This big set is up for grabs at $49.99 and has 602 blocks.
Watchpoint: Gibraltar
Finally, the last set announced features the giant rocket set at the final objective of Watchpoint: Gibraltar. Heroes included here are Pharah, Mercy with both Caduceus Staff and Blaster, Reaper, and a big Winston Figure. Standing at a massive 14” (37cm) the rocket can be set vertically on the launchpad. Above all, can also be separated into two sections, one of them with enough space to place the Winston figure, with bananas and peanut butter included! The cockpit can also be removed and a figure placed inside it. Furthermore, a big objective marker at the bottom makes it look like this set and the first one we talked about can be combined. With 730 pieces, this set can be bought for $89.00.
That’s all that we have to show for now on LEGO. Even more, you can be sure that is more is announced you can come right here to read about it. If you want to check out the sets yourself you can follow this link.
