The Boston Uprising announced today that they would be letting go of Assistant Coaches Jordan “Gunba” Graham and Jackson “Shake” Kaplan as well as hiring a new Assistant Coach Ilias “iLka” Kaskanetas. These announcements were made first by the Boston Uprising’s Twitter.
In addition to new Head Coach Mineral, our coaching staff will look a little different in 2020.

Both Gunba and Shake have been with the team for some time and will now be exploring additional options elsewhere as free agents, according to the initial release.
“We’re thankful for all the hard work Gunba and Shake have put in to help lead the Uprising,” Chris “HuK” Loranger said. “We wish them all the best in their future endeavors and hope to see them both land with new teams soon.”
iLka comes to the Uprising after a successful tenure with Angry Titans (EU Contenders). Prior to his time with Angry Titans, the 22-year-old was a with Atlanta Academy, where he helped the team finish second place in 2019 Contenders NA West and qualify for the Atlantic Showdown.
These moves are the first for the Uprising, a team that many believe will be making several more moves throughout this offseason as they look to improve on a 8-20 2019 record, which had them finishing at 19th overall in the standings.
As a reminder, all of the current offseason changes will be continuously updated in TGH’s Complete List of Overwatch League Offseason Moves.
