This is huge news as earlier in the offseason, the league announced they would be postponing the 2021 Winter Classic in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the 2021 Stadium Series, held in Raleigh, North Carolina. Due to the pandemic, The NHL is attempting to bring a unique idea off the shelf and play in an untraditional outdoor venue. The NHL considered Lake Louise, Alberta; Grand Lake, Colorado; Park City, Utah; and Stanley, Idaho all possible destinations for this outdoor event.
The NHL will have its own bubble in the Edgewood Tahoe Resort to ensure the safety of the players and the teams. Unfortunately, no fans will be allowed to see the games in person, but we will see all four teams wear their new Reverse Retro jerseys.
