Free agent cornerback Richard Sherman has apparently been taken into custody in Seattle. The charges were listed as “burglary domestic violence” when he was booked just after 6:00am this morning. That is about all that is known about the situation, currently.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Free-agent CB Richard Sherman was booked at 6:08 this am at the Seattle Correctional Facility for “Burglary Domestic Violence”, per King County public records. Sherman also was denied bail.

This incident is Sherman’s first public run-in with the police. He was denied bail on Wednesday, which would seem to suggest the severity of the charges, but more still needs to be unveiled to be sure.
Sherman is a Super Bowl Champion with the Seattle Seahawks and a former member of the “Legion of Boom” defense. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl and earned All-Pro honors five times each, leading the NFL in interceptions in one of those seasons.
Stay tuned to TGH as more information about Sherman’s arrest are released.
