Coleman, 28, is a former third-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons. He has played for the Falcons, 49ers and Jets in his career. In seven NFL seasons, Coleman has 3,293 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns. For the Jets in 2021, he rushed for 356 yards.
Signing Coleman will give the Jets depth in the backfield. Ty Johnson and Michael Carter will also still be in the backfield, but Coleman gives the Jets a veteran presence.
