The New York Jets have released running back Tein Coleman according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Coleman, 29, rushed for 356 yards and had 49 receiving yards for the Jets last season. Before playing for the Jets, Coleman suited up for the 49ers and Falcons. He has 3,293 rushing yards, 1,273 receiving yards and 36 total touchdowns in his career.
The Jets have drafted two running backs early in the last two NFL Drafts in Breece Hall and Michael Carter, who figure to get most of the work out of the backfield. Ty Johnson and Zonovan Knight are also still on the roster behind Hall and Carter.
