Well, it has finally happened, the Philadelphia Eagles have traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts. Philadelphia will be receiving a 2021 third-round draft pick and a conditional 2022 second-round draft pick. The 2022 second-round draft pick could turn out to become a first-round pick depending on how much Wentz plays and how well he performs. It’s reported via Adam Schefter, the 2022 conditional pick can become a first-round pick if Wentz plays at least 75% of snaps or 70% of snaps and they make the playoffs.
Wentz will be rejoining Frank Reich in Indianapolis, which is what it appears that Wentz wanted all along. The trade will not become official until the new league year begins, but it is still the news that has been long-awaited.
