Indianapolis is getting in on the alternate uniform train by releasing some new, all-blue uniforms with black trim. These new uniforms are dubbed “Indiana Nights” and go with the new black and blue alternate helmet released last season.
The NFL’s official Twitter account released some pictures of the new uniforms on Thursday.
The Colts will be debuting these new uniforms on October 22 (Week 7), against the Cleveland Browns. It is unclear whether the team will wear them more than just that one scheduled week. Indianapolis has worn all-blue looks before, back when “Color Rush” uniforms were released.
Indianapolis isn’t the first team to debut new looks this week, as the Seattle Seahawks announced their 1990s throwback unis on Wednesday. This new uniform/helmet combo is certainly the combo straying furthest from their original look since the team’s inception back in 1953.
