The Atlanta Falcons and offensive guard Chris Lindstrom have come to terms on a long-term contract. Lindstrom will sign an extension worth $105 million over five years, with $63 million guaranteed. This comes just a few minutes after Atlanta traded for tight end Jonnu Smith.
The NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Back in the 2019 NFL Draft, Lindstrom was chosen by the Falcons with the 14th overall selection out of Boston College. He’s been with the team ever since, being named to the Second Team All-Pro and receiving his first Pro Bowl nod, both in 2022.
Before the start of 2022, the Falcons exercised their fifth-year option on Lindstrom, who had allowed zero sacks while playing in every single game the previous season. He also started all 16 games during the 2020 season.
