Gobert, 30, has played nine NBA seasons for the Jazz. He is a three-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year. For his career, he averages 12.4 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.
With the Timberwolves, Gobert will help protect the rim and rebound. His presence will likely move Karl-Anthony Towns out of the center spot to power forward.
The move implies that the Jazz are looking to rebuild. They are getting four first-round picks which are coming in 2023, 2025, 2027 and 2029.
Utah is also getting a rookie shot-blocker in Walker Kessler. In Beasley, they will be getting a 25-year-old, who averaged 12.1 points per game last season. Beverley is a defensive-minded point guard who is 33 years old. Vanderbilt stepped into the starting lineup for 67 games in 2021-2023, averaging 6.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
