The Phoenix Suns are trading Jalen Smith to the Indiana Pacers for Torrey Craig. In return, Indiana will also receive a future second-round pick, which have been popular negotiating pieces at the 2022 NBA trade deadline.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
The Pacers are finalizing a trade to send F Torrey Craig to the Suns for Jalen Smith and a future second-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Craig has the strange distinction of playing for both the Eastern and Western Conference representatives in the 2021 NBA Finals. He began the year in Milwaukee, and moved to Phoenix for the remainder of the 2021 season. This season, he is averaging 6.5 points per game, along with 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
Smith, in his second NBA season, is averaging 6.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. He has played in only 29 games this season, starting just four of them.
