Williams, 20, left the game against the New York Knicks due to the injury. He was averaging 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game this season.
In the 2020 NBA Draft, the Bulls drafted Williams with the fourth overall selection. He scored 9.9 points and grabbed 3.7 rebounds per game on his way to becoming a member of the 2020-2021 All-Rookie Team.
The Bulls started off the season hot, with a 4-1 record. After losing Williams to the injury, they will need other players to step up. Alize Johnson and Javonte Green are both candidates to start in Williams’ place.
