The Pacers and Kings have traded six players amongst themselves ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline on Thursday. Domantas Sabonis, Justin Holiday and Jeremy Lamb are on their way to Sacramento. In return, the Pacers get Buddy Hield, Tristan Thompson and Tyrese Haliburton.
The Athletic’s Sam Amick reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Source tells @TheAthletic the Kings also get Justin Holiday in the Pacers trade. Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb and Holiday to Sacramento, and Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson to Indiana.

The Pacers are currently 13th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 19-36. The Kings sit in almost the exact same position in the Western Conference, with the 13th seed and a record of 20-35. Both teams are looking for a spark, as they are mathematically able to at least reach play-in games in the postseason.
Indiana is sending Sacramento two of their top scorers in points per game. Damontas Sabonis and Justin Holiday are number one and number five, respectively. The Kings are also giving up two of their top five; Buddy Hield (third) and Tyrese Haliburton (fourth). Hield was supposed to be a major trade piece for a team like the Lakers to acquire, so they clearly are hoping the ex-Pacers can fill holes now.
