The 2023 NBA Draft Lottery has happened and the order of the selections has been set. Here is the 2023 NBA Mock Draft June 15.
1. San Antonio Spurs- Victor Wembanyama, C, France
The Spurs will get a chance to take the most hyped up draft prospect in some time. Wembanyama is over 7-foot, but has the skills of a guard.
2. Charlotte Hornets-Brandon Miller, F, Alabama
Getting players who can stretch the floor has to be a priority for the Hornets. Miller has great length, but can also shoot very well.
3. Portland Trail Blazers- Scoot Henderson, G, G-League
The Trail Blazers are aiming to trade this pick to help support a playoff run for Damian Lillard. Whoever makes the pick will likely take Henderson. Henderson is really improving in the G-League. He can score for himself and create for his teammates.
4. Houston Rockets- Taylor Hendricks, F, UCF
Houston has plenty of ball-dominant players and potentially more signing in free agency. Getting a potential 3 and D wing like Hendricks would help them the most here.
5. Detroit Pistons- Jarace Walker, F, Houston
Walker has shown the ability to play in the post, but also stretch the floor with his outside shooting. After drafting guards in the last few drafts, the Pistons can get a bigger player in 2023.
6. Orlando Magic- Amen Thompson, G, Overtime Elite
Thompson is a bigger point guard who also has great athleticism. He has played in the Overtime Elite league for two seasons so the NBA will be a jump in competition.7. Indiana Pacers- Cam Whitmore, F, Villanova
Whittmore is a very good shooter and can help stretch the floor for the Pacers.
8. Washington Wizards- Ausar Thompson, G/F, Overtime Elite
Ausar plays on the wing and has great athleticism to work with for an NBA team.
9. Utah Jazz- Anthony Black, G, Arkansas
Black is a taller point guard who can create for his teammates well.
10. Dallas Mavericks- Grady Dick, G, Kansas
As long as Luka Doncic is in Dallas, the Mavericks need to space the floor for him. Dick is one of the better shooters in the class.
11. Orlando Magic (via CHI)- Dereck Lively II, F, Duke
Lively projects as a role player, but he can protect the rim and finish well.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder- Cason Wallace, G, Kentucky
Wallace can play either guard spot and is one of the best perimeter defenders in the class.
13. Toronto Raptors- Bilal Coulibaly, F, France
Coulibaly has plenty of defensive upside to work with and will need to develop his scoring more.
14. New Orleans Pelicans- Kobe Bufkin, G, Michigan
Bufkin is a quick player who can create for himself and others.
15. Atlanta Hawks- Keyonte George, G, Baylor
Having another player who can create for himself will open things up for Trae Young.
16. Utah Jazz (via MIN)- Jalen Hood-Schifino, G, Indiana
Hood-Schifino can operate the pick and roll, but also create shots for himself.
17. Los Angeles Lakers- Nick Smith, G, Arkansas
While his freshman season at Arkansas didn’t go as planned, Smith could thrive creating around LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
18. Miami Heat- Jordan Hawkins, G, UConn
The Heat put shooters around Jimmy Butler this past season and it worked in the playoffs. Adding Hawkins could provide more of what they did this season.
19. Golden State Warriors- Leonard Miller, F, G-League
Miller is an athletic big man who is still filling out his frame.
20. Houston Rockets (via LAC)- G.G. Jackson, F, South Carolina
Jackson is able to create shots for himself, which is unique for a player of his size.
21. Brooklyn Nets (via PHX)- Colby Jones, G, Xavier
The Nets could use a player like Jones, who could be good with the ball in his hands or spotting up from deep.
22. Brooklyn Nets- Trayce Jackson-Davis, F, Indiana
Jackson-Davis won’t stretch the floor, but he can rebound and score from the interior.
23. Portland Trail Blazers (via NYK)- Brice Sensabaugh, F, Ohio State
Getting to the basket is what Sensabaugh is best at, as he’s a unique scorer in the class.
24. Sacramento Kings- Kris Murray, F, Iowa
After getting positive results from Keegan Murray this season, the Kings could elect to take his brother, who has a similar skillset.
25. Memphis Grizzlies- Maxwell Lewis, G, Pepperdine
Lewis could be a good 3 and D player once Ja Morant returns from his reported incoming suspension.
26. Indiana Pacers (via CLE)- Andre Jackson, F, UConn
Jackson has some of the best athleticism in the class and could be an excellent role player for the Pacers.
27. Charlotte Hornets (via DEN)- Noah Clowney, F, Alabama
Clowney would bring good defensive depth to the Charlotte frontcourt.
28. Utah Jazz (via PHI)- Jett Howard, F, Michigan
Getting a forward that can help create like Howard could help their other young guards develop.
29. Indiana Pacers (via BOS)- Sidy Cissoko, F, G-League
Cissoko can bring good defense to an NBA team.
30. Los Angele Clipper (via MIL)– Dariq Whitehead, G, Duke
Whitehead struggled with injuries at Duke, but could be a good 3 and player in the league.
