A day that many TSM fans thought would never happen has come to fruition. In an announcement on Twitter, Andy “Reginald” Dinh and Parth “Parth” Naidu announced that franchise player and coach, Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg would be returning to play but that Bjergsen was leaving TSM. More on this news below.
Bjergsen has been a part of TSM since late 2013 and helped to lead the team to six LCS titles as well as five Worlds appearances. Then as a coach, he helped the team finish third and fourth while having the best overall record in the LCS for the 2021 season. The video of the announcement is linked below.

Bjergsen also responded.
Moving on after 8 years at TSM. This is the place I grew up and I'll be forever grateful for them taking a chance on me as a young player in 2013.
Love you all and excited to show you what is next for me 🙂 https://t.co/EVkylLfHeY

According to the video, TSM will be looking at a development roster. This will be a massive change for an organization that has spent more money than nearly every team in the World for many years to get the best players possible. It would seem that even with the FTX money, TSM were unable to build the roster they wanted.
That brings up the question of who they could mean with a development roster? Reginald and Parth were clear that it would not be a roster of all rookies. This could mean that Spica could be the new face for TSM or there have been rumors that he could be leaving too.
There is no doubt that the LCS is going to have a major shakeup. Possibly even more so than when Bjerg and Doublelift left last season. LCS fans who wanted to see change may finally be getting it with one of the most accomplished orgs in the LCS.
