The official Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC release date is July 26. Considering this game played a big part of the PS5’s exclusive game launches, many members of the gaming community were surprised by the recent announcement.
“I did NOT expect a ratchet and clank game to come to PC,” one user commented.
“Legitimately one of the best games of 2021, so glad it’s coming to PC. The animation is phenomenal too, it’s like a Pixar movie rendered in real time,” another gamer added.
Some people are rather skeptical of the quality of the initial release. This is likely due to the porting issues of games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. But many others have rather high expectations for the port, since Nixxes Software, the video game developing company, has a great reputation for their PC ports.
This is the same developer company that was responsible for both Marvel’s Spiderman alongside Miles Morales — which were both amazing ports. These two games performed amazingly across various set ups. In essence, it supported very powerful PCs alongside moderately performing computers, allowing for a vast options for performance customization.
Of course, it’s impossible to tell how well Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC will play. The game itself is very gorgeous on PS5, and very much pushed the console to its limits. Nixxes Software has their work cut out for them, but they have executed amazingly thus far. Here’s to hoping they’ll execute another banger PC port.
