The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and other news regarding the title was again showcased in the most recent Nintendo Direct. Initially addressed as Breath Of The Wild 2, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release date was showcased in the latest Nintendo Direct as a trailer.
The Trailer
While the trailer didn’t give gamers too much insight into the newest sequel, graphically showcased were wall carvings and the protagonist Link. In general, Link can be seen traversing around what appears to be exploring Hyrule. Also included in the trailer is what appears to be a new stasis power, freefalling, skydiving, and a flying mount of the sorts. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release date is set for May 12, 2023, only on the Nintendo Switch
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 now named The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, was actually expected to be released to the public sometime in 2022 but was delayed to 2023. The Breath of the Wild sequel was first announced previously at E3 2019.
The Predecessor
The original Breath Of The Wild sold over 25 million copies of the game and had various expansion packs that came with two DLCs. The Master Trials DLC, and The Champion’s Ballad DLC. The first game was considered such a success a spin-off game titled Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was released in 2020. This game also came with its own DLC and expansion packs. Guardian of Remembrance and Pulse of the Ancients. It’s fair to say this is one of Nintendo’s most anticipated games at the moment.
