Brooklyn plans to waive Monroe according to the Athletic, as they already have frontcourt depth.
Toronto no longer has a need for Monroe with the acquisition of Marc Gasol at the trade deadline. There has not been a return to Toronto announced.
Monroe will be free to sign with any team after being waived. The veteran big man is averaging 4.8 points per game in 38 appearances for the Raptors this season. He has bounced around the last few years, playing with four different teams since the 2016-2017 NBA season.
