The Boston Breach are wasting no rime in revamping their roster after a disappointing end to their 2023 season. On Sunday June 25, the Boston Breach announced the release of their aggressive duo of Dylan “Nero” Koch and Reece “Vivid” Drost. Nero leaves Boston after his second season with the team, with Vivid gone after his first full year with the squad. Vivid joined the Breach midway through the 2022 season.

The two players began the 2023 campaign on the starting roster alongside Joe “Owakening” Conley and Anthony “Methodz” Zinni. However towards the back half of the season, both Vivid and Nero rotated in and out of the lineup. Ultimately, the two both ended the year on the bench as the Breach looked towards their Challengers team for a spark heading into CDL Champs.
Both Nero and Vivid head into the offseason as unrestricted free agents.
Boston continued their effort to rebuild for the future by releasing Owakening just a day later. Owakening came into the season with high expectations as a player that can turn the tide of the game with his slaying ability. While he routinely came through high kill counts, the Breach still struggled to find consistent success against the top half of the league. Owakening found a way to remain the consistent piece of the Breach roster through the 2023 season, but now looks to find a new home in the offseason.
With these early offseason moves, the Breach may look to build around their young core of Ben “Beans” McMellon, Kyle “Kremp” Haworth and Eric “Snoopy” Perez.
