Williams will be a sophomore with plenty of eligibility left for the Trojans. He started his true freshman season backing up preseason Heisman-favorite Spencer Rattler. By the end of the season, Williams was the starter.
Following the regular season, Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley left to take the USC job. Williams will now rejoin his former coach.
So far in his career, Williams has passed for 1,912 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions on 64.5 percent completion. He also rushed for 442 yards and six touchdowns.
Williams will likely take over the starting quarterback spot at USC, as the only two quarterbacks on the roster at the end of the season with a lot of experience transferred. Kedon Slovis will be at Pitt and Jaxson Dart has chosen to go to Ole Miss.
The Trojans went 4-8 and are hoping for a turnaround with Riley and Williams in the fold.
