11. Tramon Mark Houston
Mark had a good freshman season and will be accounted to take a larger role with the departure of Quinten Grimes. First off, Mark needs to improve his ability to make shots off the dribble. Additionally, his three-point shooting needs to take the next step forward only shooting 26.0% from three. Furthermore, he has good size to elevate into his size brings the ability to be a factor around the basket. Next, he is a factor on the offensive glass being able to contribute to second-chance opportunities. The growth in his game would really elevate with an improved jumper and being able to create separation. Mark fits the identity of Houston with having the size and physicality in his game. As for defensively, he has really good size and activity doing a great job of defending the basketball. The positioning off the basketball could take the next step to be very good defensively. Tramon Mack should have a breakout season in his sophomore season at Houston.
12. Au’Diese Toney Arkansas
Toney will continue to add the plethora of options for Arkansas on the perimeter. Furthermore, his versatility to play multiple positions will be valued. Next, he is capable of playing off the ball really well being in a position to drive and being shot ready. Also, he plays with really good feel and control he does not get sped up often. The area he could improve in would be finishing more consistently especially through contact. Continued, his ability to be a threat in transition will be effective as a shooter or running lanes for layups. Now defensively, Toney has the ability to defend at a high level if he can improve his lateral movement. As well as, his activity off the ball could improve. Toney will be a major contributor for Arkansas immediately adding to their perimeter.
13. Jabari Walker Colorado
Walker has really good size and athleticism with the ability to be a factor inside and out. Also, he does a good job of positioning himself for opportunities on dump downs around the basket. Continued, he shot the basketball really well from the perimeter at 52.3% from three off catch and shoot opportunities. Additionally, he can be effective in ball screen situations with the ability to pop or dive the rim easily. Next, his development to be more of a threat with the basketball will be key to attacking off the bounce and using his size. Furthermore, he brings good energy and effort on the boards providing 2nd chance opportunities. The growth of his game will take place with consistency and utilize his inside and perimeter. As for defensively, he uses his size really well and provides versatility. Additionally, he is really good at containing the basketball and forcing difficult drives with the ability to block shots. Jabari Walker will be an all-league player in the PAC 12 next season.
14. Landers Nolley Memphis
Nolley is a talented player who had a good season for Memphis and has the ability to be the best player in the AAC. Nolley showed massive improvement on his shooting from the perimeter at 38.7% from three and has a quick release. Next, he is very good off the dribble being able to get to the mid-range game very effectively. Additionally, he is a major threat in transition spotting up as a shooter on the perimeter. Continued, Nolley rebounds effectively on both ends using his size to his advantage and giving extra possessions for Memphis. Furthermore, the area he could grow is becoming the guy for Memphis as he will return to a team with a lot of departures, Nolley will need to lead the way. As for the defensive end, he has the size and length to be disruptive on the perimeter. The biggest thing is needing that consistent edge and motor on the defensive end. Landers Nolley will be the guy for Memphis and has the potential to be one of the best players in the AAC conference.
15. Harrison Ingram Stanford
Ingram will look to be an impact player for Stanford right away adding to their perimeter. Furthermore, he will be bringing really good versatility for Stanford being able to play multiple positions. Additionally, he is capable of being a high-level player on and off the basketball. Along with, being a player who can be a distributor for the Stanford offense. Next, he can play very well in the post using his size finish around the rim or being a passer from the post. Harrison Ingram will have a tremendous impact on the overall success of Stanford next season.
16. AJ Griffin Duke
Griffin will look to be an immediate threat to Duke’s perimeter with his athleticism and physicality at his position. Next, he should be an immediate impact player on defense with his length and size. Further, he has the traits to develop into a greater offensive threat and will need to do so over the course of the season. Continued, he will need to develop into a go-to guy for Duke offensively from the wing position next to Wendell Moore.
17. Kendall Brown Baylor
Brown will be a major addition to the perimeter of Baylor looking to fill the role of MaCio Teague. Furthermore, he’s going to bring high-level athleticism bringing that on the defensive end especially. Along with, being a factor around the basket as a finisher. Continued, he has the offensive skill set to be a productive offensive player as a scorer and playmaker with further development in his shot will make him a problem for defenses. Kendall Brown will be one of the best freshmen in college basketball for the defending National Champions.
18. Stanley Umede Arkansas
Umede has the ability to be an impact guard at Arkansas because of his physicality at his position and being able to score the basketball. Next, he has the ability to post up smaller guards in the post and finished effectively. Further, he moves well off the ball getting in a position to score, and shoots well off the catch from the perimeter. Also, he can go in transition attacking all the way to the basket, and always finishes strong at the rim. Additionally, he has the ability to be used in isolation situations and attack mismatches. The driving ability of Umede is really good and is difficult to contain without fouling. Now, the improvement of his ability to make shots off the dribble is an area where he can grow. Umede is a major factor on the boards as well which is a key aspect of his game. As for defensively, his size makes him a solid defender on the basketball. However, he must improve his ability to be really engaged off the basketball. Umede will be an impact guard for Arkansas
19. Christian Braun Kansas
Braun showed major growth and improvement in his sophomore season being a dependable scorer on the perimeter. Next, he does a very good job spacing the floor with his movement without the basketball and being a sharpshooter at 34.0% from three. Continued, he needs to improve his ability to make shots off the dribble. Further, he has the size to use dribble penetration to get in the lane to score over defenders. Additionally, he has the ability to be a major factor in transition with his shooting ability and getting to the rim. Also, he rebounds effectively on both ends of the floor. His continued improvement with basketball will be important in his development. As for defensively, he is a good defender with his size and length on the basketball. As well as, bringing the good activity of the basketball and providing toughness on forwards in the post. Christian Braun will be one of the best shooters and scorers in the country next season, a vital part of Kansas’ success.
20. Andre Jackson UConn
Jackson has the talent and athleticism to take a massive jump forward in his sophomore year at UConn. First off, the perimeter shooting for Jackson must improve to be able to utilize his athleticism with shooting 11.8% from three. Next, he can be really effective as a cutter and on the offensive glass with his athleticism and effort. Also, his ability to improve his skill set with basketball will allow him to elevate his game to be able to attack defenses more effectively. Continued, the growth of his offensive game is going to be vital for him to reach his potential. He will be very good in transition with his athleticism and motor to finish around the basket with explosiveness. As for defensively, his athleticism can lead to turnovers and easy offense. His growth defensively though needs to take place on the basketball being able to really contain drives and disrupt shots. The length he has will make a major factor off the ball especially. Andre Jackson has a lot of talent but needs to be in all together to reach his potential especially offensively.
