Ask anyone who watches competitive Call of Duty. Who is the worst team in the CDL? Even casual fans would answer the same, the Paris Legion.
They have been a laughing stock in the league for the past couple of seasons. Consistently getting smoked by almost every team in the league and a nice seat at the bottom of the standings.
Since they aren’t going to Champs, it might be time to start looking into next year.
After the recent announcement that the organization will be moving to Las Vegas and with the number of talented players unsigned. The Paris Legion could really turn heads next year and compete for championships.

What Happened This Year?
It’s done. If you’re one of the seven Paris Legion fans out there, I’m sorry. But don’t worry, I bought the Paris Legion pack in Vanguard, so I am one of the seven too. That’s actually true, I spent the $10 for the Paris Legion skin to represent my support.
Anyways…
This season, like last, was miserable to watch. Things were starting to look up early after picking up top-tier challenger players Tom “GRVTY” Malin and Bryan “Jimbo” Sabman to pair with their other starters Donny “Temp” Laroda and John “John” Perez. But being that it’s Paris, we still didn’t expect much at the Major 1 event. However, they pulled off a “magical run” during Major 1, finishing 7-8, and winning only $15,000 in prize money.
After more bad performances during Major 2, it went back to the Paris Legion we all know. T-10 in the qualifying stage and basically dead last at the event. Once again, bringing home $0.
These poor performances stacked up until the Pro-Am. They managed to win some matches and $12,500 as well, but were they able to replicate that heading into Major 4? Absolutely not. They ended up placing last in Major 3 qualifying and last at the event.
What To Do Next Year?
It’s easy to say that they should change their roster, but it’s not that easy in reality. Paris isn’t an OpTic or a FaZe, they don’t have the same means to sign any of the top free agents. So they settle and sign players who have bounced around teams and hope they can perform. But I feel the community understands that.
But it might be better to go out and sign young talented players who haven’t had a shot yet. Because at this point they are just stat padding for other teams. They might as well try something new instead of playing it safe and being the laughing stock of the league. With reports coming out that Paris just simply doesn’t want to spend money, they may never get better.
Hopefully next year the move to Las Vegas will spark a change in the way the Legion builds its team in the future. Because if you’re spending millions of dollars to be in the league just to consistently lose, then just give up your league spot to an organization that cares about their team..
