Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers punter Bradley Pinion is now one of the highest paid at the entire position. He has signed a three-year deal worth $8.65 million with the Atlanta Falcons. He is guaranteed $4.325 million on the contract.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
2023 will be Pinion’s second season in Atlanta. He formerly played for the 49ers, who actually drafted him in the fifth round. He was the only punter selected in the entire 2015 NFL Draft. After joining the Buccaneers in 2019, he played in Tampa for three years, winning the Super Bowl after the 2020 season.
He played in all 17 games last season, punting 62 times, for a 45.9 yards per punt average. Just two punts ended in touchbacks and Pinion did not have a punt blocked. He also was the Falcons’ main kickoff man, earning 59 touchbacks in 80 attempts.
