2021 NBA Mock Draft March 23

The 2021 NBA season is under way, which means the 2021 NBA Draft won’t be too far behind. Here is the 2021 NBA Mock Draft March 23.

1. Minnesota Timberwolves- Cade Cunningham, G/F, Oklahoma State

The Timberwolves just can’t seem to get things right. Whether they decide to rebuild or move forward, Cade Cunningham is a solid pick.

2. Houston Rockets- Evan Mobley, F/C, USC

Houston may have to rework their roster, but Mobley is the best big in the class. Whether he and Christian Wood can share the floor together will have to be decided later.

3. Detroit Pistons- Jalen Suggs, PG, Gonzaga

The Pistons have shed most of their talent over the last few years and need a lead guard for the future.

4. Orlando Magic- Jalen Green, G, G-League

After drafting Cole Anthony last year, the Magic need to get him a partner in the backcourt for the future.

5. Washington Wizards- Jonathan Kuminga, F, G-League

Kuminga played well in the G-League, as he showed off his athleticism well.

6. Cleveland Cavaliers- Scottie Barnes, G/F, Florida State

The Cavaliers have a promising young backcourt that features Darius Garland and Collin Sexton. Barnes could compliment them, as he is a good passer and defender.

7. Sacramento Kings- Moses Moody, G/F, Arkansas

Sacramento got a steal in last year’s draft in Tyrese Haliburton. Getting Moody would give them a solid wing to pair with their young backcourt.

8. New Orleans Pelicans- James Bouknight, G, UConn

The Pelicans are going to needed perimeter players who can score and create their own shot to open up the floor for Zion Williamson. Bouknight fits that bill.

9. Oklahoma City Thunder- Keon Johnson, G, Tennessee

Sam Presti has a lot of picks to work with over the next several years. Johnson would give them an athlete with potential.

10. Toronto Raptors- Ziaire Williams, G/F, Stanford

The Raptors are likely going to have to find players to build around Fred VanVleet and they have proven to be able to develop players like Williams.

11. Indiana Pacers- Jaden Springer, PG, Tennessee

While Springer didn’t really take over the point guard role like the Volunteers would’ve liked, he can develop with time.

12. Chicago Bulls- Corey Kispert, G/F, Gonzaga

Kispert will stretch the floor as a good shooter right away in the NBA.

13. Memphis Grizzlies- Jalen Johnson, F, Duke

While he opted out of the end of the season, Johnson displayed good body control and ball-handling for a bigger player.

14. Golden State Warriors- Brandon Boston, G/F, Kentucky

Boston did not have a great freshman season, but he has solid athleticism and work ethic. The Warriors can help him work on his shot.

15. Boston Celtics- Kai Jones, PF/C, Texas

The Celtics have needed an athletic big man for a while now and Jones could fill that void.

16. New York Knicks- Franz Wagner, F, Michigan

New York may have found their future point guard in Immanuel Quickley and need to surround him with players who can shoot and create.

17. Atlanta Hawks- Usman Garuba, F/C, Spain

The Hawks may trade John Collins and if they do, they should try to get a player who can provide more frontcourt production.

18. Charlotte Hornets- Josh Christopher, G, Arizona State

Although LaMelo Ball is out for the rest of the year, the Hornets have found their future franchise player. Christopher needs to work on his shot, but could give the Hornets a nice backcourt of the future.

19. Houston Rockets- Ayo Dosunmu, G, Illinois

John Wall is the point guard for now, but the Rockets are likely headed for a rebuild. Dosunmu has good size, speed and a feel for the game.

20. New York Knicks- Sharife Cooper, PG, Auburn

If the Knicks aren’t sold on Quickley being their point guard, Cooper is fast and can pass with the best of prospects.

21. San Antonio Spurs- Isaiah Jackson, F/C, Kentucky

Jackson is one of the best shot blockers in the country and could really help the Spurs protect the rim better.

22. Houston Rockets- Greg Brown, F, Texas

The Rockets can take best player available as they continue to rebuild the roster with all of their picks.

23. Denver Nuggets- Cameron Thomas, G, LSU

Thomas has deep range, but he needs to be more efficient with his shot selection.

24. Los Angeles Clippers- Charles Bassey, C, WKU

Bassey was unable to lead his team to the NCAA Tournament, but he is a great floor-runner and athlete.

25. Milwaukee Bucks- David Duke, PG, Providence

Duke is a junior who has improved as much as any other player over his college career.

26. Phoenix Suns- Tre Mann, G, Florida

Although he needs to add weight to his frame, Mann has great height and can run a team with some development.

27. Los Angeles Lakers- Ochai Agbaji, G, Kansas

The Lakers will always be looking for players to stretch the floor and Agbaji is that.

28. Brooklyn Nets- Jared Butler, PG, Baylor

Butler has run one of the best teams in the country for two seasons. He can hit big shots and run an offense.

29. Philadelphia 76ers- Nah’Shon Hyland, G, VCU

The 76ers need to continue looking for players who can knock down shots to open up the floor for Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland can do just that.

30. Utah Jazz- Kofi Cockburn, C, Illinois

Cockburn is an old school big man, who may need to develop a better outside shot to stay on the floor for extended periods of time.
