Vegas Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon announced on July 16 that the team signed Jack Dugan to a two-year entry-level contract.

From Pittsburgh to Geneva
Dugan played one season with the Chicago Steel based in Geneva, IL. The Steel were a part of the United States Hockey League. In his lone season with the Steel, Dugan had 66 points (31 goals, 35 assists) which landed him a spot in the USHL First All-Star Team. The forward also played two seasons in the United States High School Preparatory League. He appeared in 96 games with Northwood School Junior.
Providence Kid
As a freshman, Dugan was second on the Friars (39) scoring 10 goals and racking up 29 assists. He also received 48 penalty minutes in 41 games but helped lead the Friars to the 2019 Frozen Four. However, the Dugan was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team at the end of the season.
From Rookie to “MVP” Finalist
During his sophomore season, Dugan led the NCAA in points with 52 (10 goals, 42 assists) in 34 games. The Golden Knights prospect also led all NCAA forwards in assists, points per game (1.53), assists per game (1.24), power-play points (22) and even-strength points (30). Dugan was also named a finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award which is granted to the most valuable player in NCAA men’s ice hockey.
To clarify, Dugan’s contract doesn’t start until the 2020-21 season making him ineligible to play with the Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Golden Knights prospect is also expected to play with the newest AHL team and Golden Knights’ AHL affiliate team, the Henderson Silver Knights.
The Golden Knights have also signed Logan Thompson to a two-year entry-level contract.
