Phase 3 of the National PUBG League has flown by as the final weekend has come to an end. Teams have given it their all to get to this point and now it has all paid off as teams have earned their spots in the global championship. Some teams defied expectations while other fell short of the glory they thought they could claim. What teams took home all of the prize money and what teams are left waiting for next year?
Day One
Day one kicked off with PlayerOne claiming a big 10-kill win. Endemic was looking to knock them off and take the win for themselves, but PlayerOne was too much for them. The second match was taken by Ghost Gaming who beat them by one kill with 11 kills. They fended off Lazarus to secure their win. Match three saw Envy join the party with 10 kills as well.
Things were heating up as Tempo Storm added to their win tally with a strong eight kill win. They continue to pull farther ahead heading toward the end of the phase. Endemic found the win they were looking for in the fifth match, matching Tempo Storm’s eight kills. eUnited finished out the first day with a big 12-kill win.
Day Two
Day Two started off with Riot Squad making their way onto the board with a seven-kill win. They battled up an Erangel mountain to seal their win, taking down PlayerOne in the process. Ghost Gaming then added a second Chicken Dinner to their total, matching Riot with seven kills. Wins have been spread out amongst many teams so far, and Genesis was next to jump on. They took a much-needed Chicken Dinner on Sanhok as they took out Envy. Genesis were happy to add to their tally as they push for a big jump at the end of Phase 3.
Soniqs were the next to add their names to the list with a big win over Tempo Storm. They kept their composure and finished of the giants with ease. The next Chicken Dinner of Day Two went to The Rumblers, who have been pushing hard for a win. The final circle crushed them and Lowkey, but The Rumblers held on and got the win that they needed so much. The second day concluded with the first win of the weekend for Wildcard.
Day Three
Day three started off with another commanding win for Tempo Storm. They only added five kills to their total, but this Chicken Dinner pushed them even further toward their goal. eUnited then picked up their second win with a push that forced Lazarus into a corner. They took away eight kills as they look to add as many points on as they can. The Rumblers were the next to do the double with a nine-kill Chicken Dinner. They have added on a lot of points in this final weekend, but will it be enough to earn them their global spot?
With only three matches left in Phase 3, Wildcard sealed their second win, working their hardest to move up as much as they can. Then came a huge 29-point game for Genesis, who have been the stars of the day. They threw down a crazy 19 kills in their final push of Phase 3. The final win of the phase went to Envy, who have pushed hard all day to finish as high as possible.
The Champions of the NPL
With all of the battles finished, Tempo Storm emerged as the champions of the National PUBG League once again. They have been an unstoppable force all year and showed why they deserve to be champions. They were followed by Lazarus, Genesis, Envy, and Ghost. All teams worked hard to earn these positions and will go on to represent the National PUBG League well against other nations.
Congratulations to Tempo Storm, and tune in again next time for more coverage of the National PUBG League.
