The Wild Pass is Wild Rift’s take on a battle pass. Players play the game, and unlock rewards as they progress. There’s the free version and a premium version — with the premium offering a limited time exclusive skin. But according to certain members of the Wild Rift community, the Wild Pass has been getting worse in quality.
“The Wild Pass is horrible. I bought an Elite Wild pass, I completed every challenge, got the weekly cap most of the weeks. Some weeks I had like 10 points that I couldn’t take in time, but that’s it,” they shared on Reddit.

The main issue the player had with the Wild Pass was the locked skins and cosmetics, which are paywalled even further despite being included in the Wild Pass’s premium rewards.
“I got Ascended Stargazer Karma, I said ‘Yeah, it was totally worth it, I got the one I wanted.’ Then I tried to go to practice mode to see how it looked and I couldn’t get to it with the skin, turns out you can’t use the ascended version without the normal skin, which I don’t have,” they stated.
“So now I have a useless skin unless I buy 42 Wild Stars with 6300 Wild Cores, for a sure chance of getting the normal skin.”
Long story short, they wanted to get Ascended Stargazer Karma, which was one of the rewards from the boxes. But after grinding for the reward through the Wild Pass, it remains locked. Apparently the default Stargazer Karma is a prerequisite skin to use Ascended Stargazer Karma.
“Sorry you went through this, but we all have to stop buying the pass until they fix it and make it worth it,” another Redditor replied.
