Wild Rift patch 4.2b notes: Swain altered, minor items changes, more

The brand new patch for Wild Rift dropped. Unlike the usual supplementary patch, Wild Rift patch 4.2b is actually quite large, providing tons of balance update changes to various champions. But unlike the previous patch, which debuted Ornn and Volibear, there are no new champions this time around.

What’s changing in Wild Rift patch 4.2b?

Swain altered

Riot is more survivability at the cost of a decrease in his damage. They increased his overall healing from ultimate ability, Demonic Ascension, while decreasing his armor scaling alongside lowering the scaling on Death’s Hand. Only time will truly tell if this is more of a buff or a nerf.

Ashe support nerfed

The developers decided they don’t want any more Ashe support. They nerfed the champion’s AP scaling, cooldowns, and slow on hit. To compensate, they provided her more AD scaling alongside critical strike scaling. This might not be quite enough to help out Ashe in the duo lane, thereby just killing off Ashe support as a whole.

• Frost Shot
  • Non-critical slow: 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% → 15/17.5/20/22.5/25%
• Volley

  • Cooldown: 15/12/9/6s → 16/13.5/11/8.5s
  • Attack Damage bonus: 100% → 115%

• Enchanted Crystal Arrow

  • Cooldown: 60/55/50s → 70/60/50s
  • Ability Power bonus: 100% → 40%

Camille

• Tactical Sweep
  • Damage ratio to monsters: 50% → 80%

Draven

• Base Stats

  • Attack Damage: 70 → 66
  • Attack Damage per level: 4 → 4.5

Fiora

• Lunge

  • Cooldown: 14/12/10/8s → 12/10/8/6s
  • Cooldown return on skill hit: 60% → 50%

Fizz

• Seastone Trident

  • Damage ratio to monsters: 120% → 105%

• Playful/Trickster

  • Ability Power bonus: 70% → 80%

• Snowball Barrage

• Berserker Rage
  • Shield gained: 30~120 + 17% missing health → 35~140 + 13% missing health

  • Movement speed increased during powerball: 96~180 → 60~150

  • Armor per level: 5.5 → 5

  • Damage of each bolt after the first one: 15/25/35/45 + 8% Ability Power → 10/20/30/40 + 5% Ability Power

Randuin’s Omen

• Upgrade cost: 750g → 850g

  • Total cost: 2800g → 2900g

• Stats: 55 Armor → 60 Armor
• Determination gained from melee damage: 16% → 20%
• Determination gained from ranged damage: 10% → 14%

Serpent’s Fang

• Stab armor penetration: 12 → 15

Youmuu’s Ghostblade

• Upgrade cost: 700g → 800g
