Despite his nerfs, Blitzcrank is still one of the most picked support champions in Wild Rift. To help those looking for help building the grabbing robot, here are two slightly varying build paths.

AD Heavy Enemy Team

This build focuses on dealing with AD heavy enemies. The first three items for Blitzcrank should almost always be the same, with the only variance being which one is built first. When ahead, build Protector’s Vow. When behind, a Locket Rush helps as it is a cheap buy.

Deadman’s plate provides great engage opportunities, thanks to the increased movement speed. The rest of the items after locket prioritize nullifying AD damage.

Runes and Summoner Spells

Build Aftershock to synergize with Blitzcrank’s crowd control. Bring the enemy in and knock them up, while utilizing the effects of Aftershock. For the secondary runes, these work best for sticking close to an ally champion. Feel free to get more creative with the secondary runes.

No summoner beats Flash for Blitzcrank. A proper Flash grab can change the tides of a game, therefore always take Flash on Blitzcrank. For the second summoner spell, take Ignite or Exhaust to help secure/deny kills. Heal is only for those lanes where the ally ADC takes barrier.

Protector’s Vow is one of the greatest items a tanky support can build. The item allows an ally champion and the owner of the item to tank extra damage every 30 seconds. Not only that, Protector’s Vow gives a burst of movement speed, perfect for a champion like Blitzcrank to close in and grab the enemy team.

Zeke’s convergence provides a slow between the owner and a nearby ally, alongside giving the ally burn damage on auto-attacks. This item synergizes too well with most ADCs, making it a must-buy for tanky supports like Blitzcrank.

Rolling Golems gather no rust, ONLY if built properly. Be sure to build tank on Blitzcrank, as it is the most viable build path for the golem.
