Pokémon Champions looks to be the next major new title coming to the franchise, with a focus on battling across different platforms with Pokémon that players have collected across a multitude of different games. Here’s everything we know so far about the new game and what to expect from Pokémon Champions.
Pokémon Champions is a battle-focused game coming to the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices that will allow players to battle with Pokémon from games like Pokémon Go, Pokémon Home, and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. The game will feature Mega Evolutions, and looks to be reminiscent of Pokémon Stadium games of old, with an emphasis being on the battle arena versus anything open world or exploratory.
This was all confirmed and initially announced during the 2025 Pokémon Day announcement video, which you can see below.
Unfortunately, we are still mostly in the dark about the release date of Pokémon Champions. However, Pokémon Legends Z-A is set to release late in 2025, so our initial theory is that Pokémon Champions may release in Q2 of 2025, or around the middle of the summer. However, this is currently just speculation and we will have to wait for an official word on this from Pokémon.
We will continue to provide information as we get it, so stay tuned for all of the latest Pokémon news and updates, here at The Game Haus.
