In Civ 7, you are likely going to encounter the word “Ageless” as you are choosing different buildings for your Cities and Towns. But, what does a building being Ageless mean? Here’s a quick explanation that should help to clear it up.
If a building is Ageless in Civ 7, that means that it will remain in place when you advance to a new Age and will continue providing its benefits. However, Ageless buildings can only be built in a certain Age, meaning that if you pass up on an Ageless Antiquity Age building like the Granary and advance to the Exploration Age, you will no longer be able to build a Granary.

Another important thing to note about Ageless buildings in Civ 7 is that they cannot be overbuilt. Because of this, you should be careful where you place these buildings and use them to your advantage, as being careless with them can prevent you from utilizing key hexes in the late-game. From someone who has done this a fair bit, trust me, it is worth being cognizant of. Other than that, Ageless buildings are very similar to others in Civ 7.
