It was officially confirmed that Riot Games’ new FPS, formerly codenamed Project A, is going to be called Valorant. More gameplay footage and information about the game’s characters were also included in the announcement, giving fans all the more to be excited about. However, when can fans expect to get their hands on the new tactical shooter?
Summer 2020
While it has not been confirmed when exactly in the summer we’ll see Valorant, it has been confirmed that this summer will be the game’s official debut. Based on the fact that it is still in its early Alpha, it would likely be a Beta of the game that is released at that time. This is purely speculation, no details have been confirmed as to what kind of Beta will be released.
This puts Valorant in a good spot to release around the holiday season of 2020, right around the time where lots of buzz will be around new games. This could also posit it well to make an entrance into the esports scene in early 2021, although it’s uncertain how quickly that move will be made.
