This may not seem like a big deal, but it is in the sense that Riot Games would not be hiring for the role unless something was going to happen. Also the fact that the role is for a “Playtest Analyst” means that they are already playtesting the game or close to starting it.

With that in mind, that means that the release date could be relatively soon. It would not be surprising to see VALORANT make its way to PlayStation 5 as early as Holiday Season 2023 or early 2024. That is as long as the playtests go well.

The VALORANT Dev Team seems willing to move quickly to get their game into as many hands as possible. With console development stated as a goal years ago along with the initial PC release, it is fair to assume that development has been ongoing since then in some capacity.

Regardless, VALORANT will likely be coming out on consoles and could be within the next year with this latest development.
