VALORANT continues to push out great new agents that add something new to the game but also to the expanding lore of the game. Astra is the first agent from Ghana and to say she is unique would be an understatement. As the name might suggest she is a cosmic agent that uses her abilities to control the map. Now the question becomes, what is the release date for Astra?

Astra will be joining VALROANT as the fifteenth agent. She will be a control agent that is really able to help all around the map. As only the fourth control agent in the game it will be interesting to see how she fits in the meta. With Viper still not getting used all that often one would think that Astra would slot in pretty quickly.
Coming in the middle of this current act right after Yoru shows that the VALORANT team is getting very creative with their agents. While they have similar thoughts around their abilities, the motifs surrounding them continue to grow along with the advances in the lore.
Seeing as Yoru came out in the middle of January it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Astra relatively soon along with a brand new battle pass. The Astra release date while not being revealed yet should be sometime in the first two weeks of March.
The third week of March would likely be the absolute latest. This would make sense seeing as they are trying to stick to the new agent every two months. This is similar to how League of Legends is being run as well. It will be interesting to see how long they decide to stick with this.
