VALORANT Masters 2 Copenhagen Groups Stage Announced

The Groups Stage for the Masters 2 Copenhagen have been announced, running from July 10-13. Eight teams battle for four slots into the playoffs for a chance to be crowned Masters 2 Champions. XSET, FNATIC, Paper Rex and Leviatán have received a playoffs bye for making first seed in their respective regions. Here are each of the teams in the Groups Stage of VALORANT Masters 2.

Group A

Group A has Optic Gaming facing off against Guild Esports and LOUD versus KRÜ Esports. Entering as North America’s second seed Optic Gaming are the favorites to win Masters 2 and defend their title from Masters 1. Guild Esports represents EMEA as their third seed, only having dropped three series in all of Challengers 2. LOUD enters as Brazil’s only representative after completing a perfect domestic Challengers 2 run without dropping a game. Their opponents, KRÜ Esports, enters as the second seed of LATAM after beating Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Brazil vs LATAM LCQ, continuing their international attendance streak.

Group B

Group B starts with FunPlus Phoenix versus XERXIA, then DRX facing NORTHEPTION. FunPlus Phoenix are EMEA’s second seed, now attending with extra substitutes after missing Masters 1 due to international travel restrictions. XERXIA are APAC’s second seed, only dropping games to Paper Rex and Team Secret in all of Challengers 2. On the other side of the bracket, DRX continue their streak as Korea’s sole representatives, having finished without dropping a single domestic match as well.

Masters 2 will take place from July 10-24, with the Groups Stage lasting from July 10-13. Two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where they will join XSET, FNATIC, Paper Rex and Leviatán. Placement throughout the tournament will decide VCT Circuit Points to decide regional representatives for Champions and Last Chance Qualifier attendees.
